Lōgōs Jiu Jitsu Makes History at the IBJJF Denver Open 2024

In a stunning upset, Lōgōs Jiu Jitsu has claimed both the Gi and NoGi team titles at the prestigious IBJJF Denver Open 2024.

The event, held on May 11-12, 2024, at Regis Field House in Denver, Colorado, saw fierce competition from academies across the United States. However, it was Lōgōs Jiu Jitsu, representing Atos, that emerged victorious, thanks to the outstanding performances of its athletes, along with help from allied academies, across multiple divisions.

The depth of talent on the Lōgōs roster was evident, with the team racking up an impressive medal count across all belt levels and weight classes. Their success is a testament to the academy’s world-class coaching, led by head instructor Michael Liera Jr., and the dedication of its athletes.

For many, this year’s result comes as a surprise. Lōgōs was founded in January of 2020, and in a relatively short time span has taken the Denver Open Championship from the stronghold of another local Denver based series of academies that had dominated the local scene for years, consistently producing top-level competitors and winning the team title at the IBJJF Denver Open since its inception. While the rival jiu jitsu team still had a strong showing and earned numerous individual medals, the loss of the team title is sure to be a motivator for the academy as they look ahead to future competitions.

As the dust settles on this historic weekend, the Denver jiu jitsu community is buzzing with excitement. Lōgōs Jiu Jitsu’s victory not only cements their status as one of the premier academies in the world but also shakes up the competitive landscape in the Mile High City.
